This innovative approach brings benefits in improving the efficiency of the global water system reducing the water consumption, increasing the water reusability by the adoption of innovative technologies.

• The following area of intervention have been individuated for exploitation of project results:
  • application to other steel production routes
  • realization of water circuit closed loops
  • Improvement of digital tools

Several possible transfers of results were highlighted. The exploitation analysis demonstrated the applicability of projects tools.

Applications to the sectors in the steel industry before considered are interesting to explore in future projects:

• - coke making, blast furnace, sintering and ingot casting.

The possibility of creating water loops is also very interesting, but a new development in on-line sensors should be considered to better manage TSS, bacterial proliferation and microbial corrosion phenomena in steel pipes.
